I recently attended a seminar with a group of professional women on the need for positive self-evaluation. These women are giants in their fields. Doctors. attorneys, judges, scientists and entrepreneurs. They all had powerful stories of challenges and triumph. Yet what stood out to me was that every single one of them struggles with positive self-evaluation.

It made me wonder, what if the goal isn’t positive validation, or positive evaluation? What if the goal could be radical self-acceptance? What if positive self-evaluation and validation is just like any other addiction or high — something we constantly need to feed and replenish before our system crashes?

Christine Heckart began her career in Silicon Valley working at iconic brands such as Cisco and Microsoft, where she was Senior Vice President and General Manager.

Today she sits on the board of two major tech firms and is the CEO of her own company, Xapa World.

One of the most well known leaders in Silicon Valley, Christine wants to use tech to solve human problems.

I’ve been making my way through ‘90s and early

I’ve been making my way through ‘90s and early aughts romcoms and I keep asking myself: HOW DID I EVER FIND THIS ROMANTIC??

Don’t get me wrong, I love a good romcom, but the messaging in so many of these films might be the source of many hours spent in therapy.

Last night I watched 27 Dresses and while I’m only scratching the surface with the things I could pick apart in this movie, can we all just agree that Jane should be getting paid? Seriously the amount of unpaid work for women that we’ve normalized in our society is bonkers!

I know I might be setting myself up to question a lot of my childhood but these are the babies on my hit list:
